Planning Meeting to discuss Grovelands Farm bio-digester application    26 November, 2013

Parish Council Planning Meeting:  there was a planning meeting on Monday November 25th. The two items on the agenda were: the Grovelands Farm bio-digester application (full details via Planning Applications section) and the proposal for double yellow lines in the village. There was a large turnout of parishioners to the meeting and after discussion the Parish Council agreed to the following:

  • The Council will write an objection to the planning application on Grovelands Farm, based on the lack of evidence to support the traffic movements and odour impact.  The Council also objected because of the impact on the local environment in a Special Landscape Area and the close proximity to the nearby residents.
  • The Council will ask for an extension to the Yellow Lines Consultation with a view to asking for more input from villagers.  If this is not possible, the Council will ask that the Church Lane lines remain as per the plans but that the Ravensthorpe Road junction lines are reduced to just the inside of the bend.
